The Woes of Spring Footwear

I couldn't find my Havaianas so I wore these. Cute and stylish but drafty.

Open toe shoes were a wee premature. My feet were cold so I ended up changing my shoes to these. A patent leather round toe with a little heel by Jessica Simpson. Yes, don't laugh, I bought a pair of Jessica Simpson shoes. They are really dainty. Just like me.

Unfortunately, my feet were not happy in them so I changed again to these. Now these babies are definitely not as adorable but are super comfy with shock-absorbing insoles with textured bumps that massage your feet. Privo is Clarks more stylish comfort shoe line. Yes, Clarks. Old lady shoes. As I stand on my feel all day on a ceramic floor comfort is important to me. Style is even more important but sometimes one must give up a little style for happy feet. Happy feet means a happy Sharon. A happy Sharon means a happy haircutting. Need I say more?

Well, things didn't quite workout the way I wanted this weekend. We didn't end up going to Guelph. We did however end up at the Distillery District. I love this area. It's a historical site with nice shopping and restaurants. I like The Broiler House and Pure Spirits oyster house and grill. My fave is Soma Chocolate. If you love chocolate, especially dark, you've got to go there. They have this amazing hot chocolate that is like liquid ganache. Mmm..... I can just about taste it right now. They also serve a dark chocolate espresso with whipped cream. And I must mention there gelato. Yummy. They all make me feel so happy inside. Like a tickle to the tummy.

As we browsed around checking out the artisans and shops I ended up buying another pair of shoes. Birkenstocks. Can you believe it! I think it was some kind of subliminal shopping experience. I'm still in shock over it. I must go out tomorrow and purchase a completely uncomfortable pair of stilettos to counterbalance things.

All is good with the Sharon

Spring is in the air and that means new shoes

Today was a beautiful day. I spent most of it cleaning up the house.  Something I hate doing but I didn't mind it today.  I opened up the window to air the house.  What a nice feeling.  I decided to go for a walk today and discovered a sale at Yarn Boutique.  I bought a suede yarn to make some baby Uggs.  How exciting!  Maybe I'll post them when I'm done making them.

Even more exciting was my venture to Sherway Gardens.  With spring in the air I just felt the need to go shoe shopping.  I was looking for ballerina flats to wear with jeans and tights.  To my surprise I bought a pair in silver.  And I love them!  They are so comfy all I have to do now is buy a cute little outfit to go with them.  I'm sure I could wear them with many things in my wardrobe but it's always fun to have some new pieces for the spring.

Conclusion:  Spring makes me want to shop and shopping makes me happy.
