Out of hot water

My eyes are giant puff balls this morning. Went to see Seven Pounds and I think I went through 7 lbs of tissues. If you are in the mood for a tear jerker, this is the one.

Today I have to clear the basement out. The furnace is on the blitz. I'm thankful the weather has warmed up as we'd be have icicles hanging off our noses. We have a big nasty boiler down there with an even nastier oil tank. I hate the basement. It scares me. Dark, dingy and spooky. When I was a kid I hated going to the basement. I do not have any fond memories of the gloomy abyss. Unfortunately, this is a task that has to be done if I want heat and hot water again.

There is never a good time for the furnace to go but at least I know I will surely appreciate it when it is running in full order. Then again I can appreciate a great pair of boots too.

Sorry to hear about your furnace going kaput. But you may have gotten a break, with the weather being as it is, and hopefully a new one installed before it gets cold again. Good luck with that. Unless you go with high efficiency, the mid efficiency furnaces are almost identical. As usual, the key is in the installer, hopefully you will luck out and get a good installer. It makes all the difference. Always glad to hear you are having fun! See ya in the new year!
