It drives me crazy when....

What:  New client

Situation: Haircut and consultation

Upon consultation my client tells me she is growing her hair (which by the way is a past the shoulders and a scraggly mess).  She wants a bob but not too short (she's growing it remember)

I suggest taking the back shorter because it is very "unhealthy" but keep it longer in the front to visually give her length leaving her with an inverted bob with the front length around the top of her shoulders (sort of a longer version of Victoria Beckham but I don't say that).

"No" she says, "just bob it to the top of the shoulders. I don't want to look like Victoria Beckham".

So I bob it, blow dry it, flat iron it.

She checks out her hair in the mirror and says,  "OHHH, could you shorten up the back but keep the front".

Now at this point steam is about to come out of my ears.  So I politely tell her that is what I had originally suggested. 

She looks at me dumbfounded and says "Oh yeah, I guess I didn't quite understand you but you did say that didn't you".

So I start all over and shorten the back.

The result: Victoria fricken Beckham!
